Andy Erickson, the famed winemaker behind some of Napa’s most legendary wines, created his ROOM label to give him space to experiment. His 2013 ROOM Zinfandel is wonderful. Ripe yet refined, with red and black fruits – think blackberries to tart cherries and all in between – baking spice, cobbler, thyme, pepper and cured meat. Refreshing acidity gives way to hints of piecrust and cloves, rounding out with a lingering yet bone-dry finish. Fantastic!

For 25 years, Andy Erickson has crafted lauded California wines. His expertise and nuanced approach have transformed wines from some of the most well-known wineries, including Screaming Eagle, Harlan Estate, Staglin Family Vineyard, Ovid, Spottswoode, and Dalla Valle.
