Elk Grove Vineyard, Lodi, CA
What we love
Fruit for this single-vineyard bottling from Peltier comes from vines planted in 1985. This Chardonnay was vinified on the lees in steel tanks, creating a fresh yet energetic style. The palate is bright and pronounced, with citrus tinged flavors of apple, succulent yellow pear and baking spice. There’s a wonderful creaminess and richness in this wine without being buttery. At this price, it’s a steal.
About this Wine
Lodi’s classic Mediterranean climate of warm sunny days combined with cool evening breezes from the San Francisco Delta contribute to the 2017 Chardonnay’s great balance of acidity and ripe flavors.
Perfect for sunny afternoons or after a long, hard day at the office. Pair with roasted white meats, mahi-mahi, and seasoned vegetables. Whatever you choose, just know that you’re drinking something special. Cheers!
