2016 Cabernet Sauvignon
Atlas Peak, Napa Valley, CA
What we love
Founded in 2007 by Andrew and Adam Mariani, Scribe Winery produces energetic and terroir-driven wines in the heart of the Sonoma Valley. Bottles are site-specific and are produced with a non-interventionist mentality in the cellar. Fruit for their ‘Atlas Peak East’ Cabernet grows in red volcanic soils perched above the fog line at 1,600 feet, where the consistent morning sun exposure nurtures bright fruit flavors. Notes of juicy black cherry, red currants, and clove dominate the palate, with a long and lingering finish. Every sip leaves you comfortable and content.
About this Wine
Even for this bigger style of Cabernet, Scribe's approach to winemaking remains consistent. They harvest the fruit at low sugar levels to balance Cabernet’s powerful structure with juicy freshness. Pair it with flavorful dishes like roast meats, barbecue, braises and grilled marinated veggies, or enjoy its complex, balanced flavors alone. Enjoy!
