  • What we love

When we hear “Napa Chardonnay,” our first image is not necessarily of a fresh, Chablis-like wine. But here we are, drinking that very wine and loving every second of it. This 2017 Chardonnay from DeSante Wines is a revival and a revolution rolled into one, and a ridiculously good value for a wine that reminds you of your favorite white Burgundies without ever pretending to be one. If you love focused, fresh, mineral-driven Chardonnay, this wine is not to be missed! We’re enthralled!

About this Wine

Carefully made by some of the nicest people in the industry, the 2017 DeSante Chardonnay comes with the added cachet of being utterly, unavoidably delicious.

Terrifically concentrated but light on its feet with stone fruits, citrusy acidity, good mid-palate flesh and a long, uber-fresh finish where the minerals come sneaking in again. It feels like a tragedy when there isn’t a sip left.

This is a wine that will go well with kimchi, street tacos, with a bowl of fruit, by itself… we can’t imagine a scenario where you wouldn’t want to drink this! Enjoy!

David & Katherine DeSante

Owners + Winemakers

David and Katharine DeSante are a husband and wife winemaking duo that work with amazing old vines and field blends from the Napa Valley. Both are winemakers for other big-name Napa wineries, but their 1,000-case production DeSante label is their passion project.

Sometimes you're just in the right place at the right time. For me, it was during a tasting trip in Napa where I first had the pleasure of meeting the DeSantes. I was blown away by how so uniquely special and different and wondrous all of their wines are.

There is intentionality throughout their portfolio and I could not be more excited to share their wines with you!
