Mendocino County, CA
What we love
A remarkably priced, really well-made, aromatic wine that smells of summertime and ocean air. Notes of candied lemon, peaches, ripe melon and gardenia flowers, with a refreshing finish and softness from barrel fermentation. Add several bottles to your cart, it’s a lively wine that’s ideal fuel for board game nights and great banter.
About this Wine
At first this wine is tight and focused with tart acidity but then loosens its grip on the finish. A good half hour spent in a decanter helps unwind its tightly bundled-up fruit and release the more floral elements of its perfume, as does a service temperature of about 50-55 degrees. Take care not to over-refrigerate. If it’s too cold, this wine’s delicate details will be missed. The most important tip of all? Enjoy it with your friends!

- Technical Data
- Blend: 80% Viognier and 20% Tocai Friulano
- Alcohol: 13.4% | pH: 3.26 | Residual Sugar: 0.05 g/L
- Winemaking: The grapes are sourced from two vineyards, Foxhill and McDowell, both at the extreme edges of Mendocino County, where days are hot and nights are cold. The grapes were whole cluster pressed and allowed to settle for 24 hours, then racked to stainless steel tanks where fermentation begins. Once the wine reached 12 brix, it was moved to neutral French oak barrel for five months to finish fermentation.
