  • What we love

Working out of San Francisco’s Mission District but traveling to many far-flung vineyards in search of premium grapes, winemaker Tim Telli crafted an utterly delicious Grenache rosé from the sustainably farmed Abba Vineyard. Grapes are picked early and whole cluster pressed, the final wine shows notes of blood orange, strawberries, and dusty minerals. Full of juicy food-friendliness and absolutely thirst-quenching, the 2018 Grenache Rosé perfect for barbecues outside!

About this Wine

The grapes for this rosé was sourced from the Abba Vineyard in the Mokelumne River appellation of Lodi. Here, the Mediterranean climate and sandy soils work together to produce premium Grenache. Medium in body by rosé standards, this pink's point of distinction is that everything is in great balance: it’s not just a tart, simple rosé, but a wine of real depth that also manages to be supremely refreshing.

The food-pairing possibilities are numerous. Roast chicken, garden salads, a bowl of fresh berries, and prosciutto-wrapped melon are just some of the many combinations that will dance with this rosé!

Drink now through 2021.

Tim Telli

Owner + Winemaker

Tim Telli is a talented “urban winemaker” sourcing premium grapes from around California and turning them into wine in San Francisco’s Mission District, where he also lives with his family.

His Betwixt label is a recent, and very exciting, discovery for us.

An Englishman now devoted to Northern California wine, Tim Telli’s Betwixt label is dedicated to low intervention winemaking that underlines time and place. Tim believes in minimal intervention in the wine making process; his wines go through native fermentation, aren't racked till right before bottling, and are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
