2018 Pinot Gris
What we love
Former Wind Gap winemaker Scott Schultz brings his winemaking talents to Jolie-Laide, a small production winery situated in the heart of Sebastopol, California. Fruit is picked early, crushed by foot, and whole clustered soaked which adds texture and gives the final wine a beautiful rosé Champagne color. Wildly perfumed of melon, peaches, bergamot, and kaffir lime leaf. This is not your grandma’s Pinot Grigio… I love it!
About this Wine
Flavor packed, skin-contact Pinot Gris from a very talented producer. ‘Orange’ wine fans, this one’s for you. Three days on the skins gives the wine a lightly tannic pull, which ultimately leads to a lasting, lingering finish. This wine continues to shatter any preconceived notion of California Pinot Gris. You won’t be disappointed, this is a fabulous, geeky, versatile wine that is perfect for the dinner table and the couch. Cheers!
