The 2016 “Red Hen No. 1” Cabernet Sauvignon is shaping up to be a jewel of a wine. Crafted from biodynamically farmed fruit from four different blocks in the vineyard, each with distinct characteristics, the resulting wine showcases ripe dark fruit, savory earthiness, oak, and an impressively long finish that leaves a lovely, delicious memory after each sip.
About this Wine
Diana Snowden Seysses makes some of the most esteemed Burgundy around at Domaine Dujac, but she was born in California and hasn't forgotten her roots. At Ashes & Diamonds, she makes wine that reflects that heritage: this bottle is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from a great vineyard in Napa Valley. It has bright, fresh flavors, and a richness and savoriness as satisfying as the steak you should eat alongside it. Cheers!
