2016 Pinot Noir
Escolle Vineyard, Santa Lucia Highlands, Monterey County, CA
What we love
Deep, beautiful garnet in color, the 2016 “Escolle” from Caraccioli Pinot delivers. Rich aromas of strawberry, pomegranate and raspberry combine with savory herbs and nuances of cedar, cappuccino, violets and earth. The palate is a little more dark fruited, reminiscent of huckleberry, boysenberry and baking blackberry pie. Its texture is silky smooth and creamy, with succulent acidity (juiciness). Terrific.
