  • What we love

Produced from organically farmed 30-year-old vines, the 2018 “Carbone” Chardonnay was barrel fermented (no malolactic) and aged roughly 10 months in 20% new French oak. A Chablis-like nose of lemon curd, salted citrus, tart pineapple, and jasmine flower notes all just jump from the glass, and it's racy and vibrant on the palate, with more salinity, yet still packs plenty of richness and depth. The 2018 is beautifully perfumed, distinctive, and full of character.

About this Wine

Refreshing acidity, layered, a little creamy and juicy. No buttery notes in this Chardonnay. There are plenty of quality Chardonnays made like the Favia Carbone in Napa Valley. Somehow, this wine is more delicious than its peers.

This Chardonnay will certainly age well if kept in your wine fridge, but it’s drinking so lovely today. We recommend decanting – the wine will continue to unfold and gain complexity with air. Cheers!
