It has an opaque purple core extending all the way to the rim, with aromas that add up to a master class in modern Napa Valley Cabernet: opulent and luxurious, while retaining balance and freshness.

About this Wine

The nose first displays a big blast of cassis, followed by blackberries, black currant, and dark chocolate, with spice and floral nuances gaining power with air. Plush and seamless on entry, then firmer in the middle; it’s a full-bodied wine for sure, but well balanced, with smooth tannins and enough acidity to carry its weight with ease. This luscious wine effortlessly displays ripeness and richness without losing balance and freshness, which is difficult to achieve. Indeed, for all of its considerable body, it doesn’t feel heavy or syrupy on the palate, so it's no wonder that you can find this Cabernet on the wine list at restaurants like The French Laundry.

Parador Cellars is a very small project from the extremely talented and creative winemaker, Steve Ventrello.

Steve's a quiet artistic genius, and grapes are his medium. The wines he chooses to make are gems, each unique on its own. Pour a glass, sip slowly, and you, too, will be reminded that wine is as much of an art as it is a science. It's geeky, and it's nerdy, and yeah, sometimes a little eccentric, but so is Steve. And that's what makes his wines so much fun to drink.

For some, success is seeing opportunity where others don’t. For others, it’s inspiration. For Steve, it was a blend of both. He is one of the few winemakers who not only saw the potential to grow Spain’s signature grape in Napa, but also had the "cojones" to do it.

Thus began Parador, Steve's creative outlet to produce high-quality Cabernet and Tempranillo-based wines, made by hand, in Napa Valley.
