2019 Grenache/Syrah Rosé

Crafted by Ryme Cellars’ winemaker Megan Glaab, this lip-smacking rosé is a consistent crowd pleaser. A blend of Grenache and Syrah, this gorgeous wine was grown organically on volcanic soils in the Fountaingrove District AVA of Sonoma County. Expect a tangy, zippy, delicious mouthful teeming with strawberry, rhubarb, blood orange, and Meyer lemon flavors.
About this Wine
Based in Santa Rosa, this tiny winery produces an estate blend of Syrah and Grenache that is outstanding. It's difficult to choose between all of the wonderful Petrichor Rosé vintages but this may be our favorite.

Among redwoods and bound to the volcanic earth lies Petrichor’s vineyards. Owners, Jim and Margaret Foley, tend to their Syrah and Grenache vines in beautiful Sonoma County. We met Margaret at her winery and was immediately was drawn to her incredible poise and intense passion for viticulture and viniculture. Their focus is on quality and they produce two beautifully balanced wines, their Estate “Les Trois,” a Syrah-Grenache blend and their Estate Rosé.
Jim and Margaret do everything possible to limit their impact on the environment. All farming is organic, their winery is powered by solar energy, they use lightweight glass bottles and forgo foil capsules to reduce waste.
Petrichor, the pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain after a long period
of warm, dry weather, is in turn a metaphor for their farming and winemaking philosophy:
