  • What we love

Founded in 1995, Walla Walla Vintners has rightly earned a reputation for quality. We’ve long been smitten with their Merlot, and their 2015 vintage leaves little doubt that they’ve proven themselves a regional leader with the varietal. Ultra-smooth, medium bodied, fruity yet complex – this is a great bottle of wine for everyone.

About this Wine

Several of the Walla Walla Valley’s top vineyards, including Pepper Bridge and Seven Hills went into this marvelous red wine. Although this wine is labeled “Merlot” there is a touch of both Cabernet Sauvignon to add power and structure, and Cabernet Franc for spice and bramble.

The attention-getting nose of fig chutney and cedar jumps from the glass and draws you in, followed by aromas of chocolate-covered cherries, plums and raspberry bramble, and oak-derived fragrances of vanilla and sandalwood. The taste profile mirrors its aromas, with depth of flavor provided by a clove/nutmeg component that highlights the richness of its fruit. It finishes with a slight tug of tannin that merely invites another sip.

Walla Walla Vintners

Walla Walla Vintners is one of Washington State’s first and most revered wineries, started by pioneering winemakers Myles Anderson and Gordy Venneri. The string of success they’ve achieved in their decade of working together help earn Walla Walla Vintners the award of 2016 Pacific Northwest Winery of the Year.

The winery, in the shadow of the Blue Mountains, is one of the most picturesque in the state. It reflects Gordy, Myles and their tight knit team’s commitment to sustainable wine-making, environmental values and a love of the beautiful place they live. Since the beginning their focus remains squarely on their customers: treating them as friends who are always welcome.

Walla Walla Vintners continues their limited production of award-winning red wines, widely regarded as consistently high-quality, at prices below many of their peers.
